July 11, 2025The Third United Nations Ocean Conference (UNOC3) held in Nice, France, took place from June 9 to 13, 2025. It brought 15,000 participants, including more than 60 Heads of State and Government.
Our founder Stella was present, and attended a workshop on shark conservation along with other project leaders across the world to identify problems and solutions for impactful shark protection. Stella also participated to the side event organised by our partner Shark Project: “Women’s voices on the future of sharks and ocean health”, sharing her experience as a female project leader in shark conservation in Madagascar, alongside Abi Kidd from Kenya and Lucia Furtado from Angola.
It was an honour to share the stage with such inspiring women, to discuss the importance of women voices in the field and to share some key messages. Thank you to everyone who attended ! It was also a great opportunity to overlap with colleagues and partners, such as the Manta Trust, the Shark Conservation Fund and CORDIO.
